Webinar Description:
Tennis elbow is one of the most common overuse syndromes referred to clinicians. Lateral elbow pain as a symptom many times is vague and confounding to address. Resolution of pain can be elusive to both the practicing clinician and the patient. This webinar will help the participant address lateral elbow pain from more of a cognitive assessment approach in applying interventions based on an evidence-based evaluation and strong clinical reasoning.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will:
- Summarize the clinical definition of tennis elbow
- Discuss the clinical presentation of “itis,” “osis” and “opathy”
- Identify provocative testing and discuss differential diagnosis for tennis elbow
- Explore evidence-based treatment options for tennis elbow
- Provide a proposed intervention algorithm for the management of chronic lateral epicondylosis
- Discuss practical applications of traditional/non-traditional interventions via case studies
