Despite the warm weather of sunny Southern California’s meeting location, we are still holding our “Share the gLOVEs” social initiative!
Different this year (due to the warm climate), we will NOT be collecting winter gloves. Instead, we will be collecting gloves for wheelchair users
Our donation will go to the national organization Spina Bifida Association, which has local chapters in many major cities where our future Annual Meetings will take place, including Los Angeles. Spina Bifida Association holds an annual fundraiser “Walk and Roll” in which participants walk or roll a wheelchair through the course. This event is the week following our meeting and they are thrilled to have us support their effort.
They are in need of the following gloves for wheelchair users:
- Head Digital Running gloves (available at Amazon, Costco and Walmart)
- ZippyRooz - kids sizes preferred (available on Amazon)
- Under Armour cycling gloves- kids sizes preferred (available on Amazon, Under Armour online or at Dick’s Sporting Goods)
Please plan ahead and help us support our 2017 Share the gLOVEs campaign for the Spina Bifida Association! We will collect these gloves on site at the meeting. Thank you for your support and please don’t forget to Share the gLOVEs!
